Defy the fates.
It's visually powerful and really speaks to me for a reason I'll try to explain: Cropping the mouth from the frame gives the impression of the inability to communicate. This piece is also pretty abstract, which cranks up the level of the idea. The natural expression coupled with natural truth; which is confusion. We're not really sure what's going on in this world. The only thing we're certain of is 'I don't know'. Another idea could be this character in the image is alone in this dirty void, and everything that exists here in our world is simply imagined.
I also prefer photographs that work great both from a distance and really close up. If you were to step back; you'd still be able to distinguish the content in this image (which is a human face). But the image still looks great when you go in really close because of all the gorgeous detail. It prolonges interest.
You were probably just experimenting and stumbled upon this result, but nevertheless, this was executed well.
For a while, I've been gathering bits that inspire me because I hope to make an abstract film, and I think I'm going to try to replicate this effect in a sequence.

Hello. My name is Morgan. I reside under a bridge.
Yes, the lack of mouth is important here. the eyes are the expression that mattered here with
the title and comment...the piece creates a question, what "meaningful" wish are those eyes wishing for?
Here is when it becomes abstract with this concept and open to endless interpretation...
Good luck on your quest. keep in touch, i would like to see your efforts.
